Sue has a career's worth of experience and knowledge of working in nursing homes, hospitals and care homes, both as part of the care staff and as part of the management of care agencies and care homes.
Unsatisfied with the way in which many social and home care agencies were being run and with the high and low dependency care services they delivered, Sue set up Xtracare Ltd with business-experienced husband Jared to offer a completely different level of care.
During our decades in the sector, our company approach has led to rapid growth, largely through great word of mouth from happy clients, recommendations and exceptional efforts from our team of home care providers, carers and nurses.
As one of Kent and Burham's leading care agencies, we invest in our low and high dependency care team, arranging specialist courses in loss and bereavement, manual handling, dealing with conditions with Alzheimer's and dementia and health and safety. We ensure that all our home care providers have, or are working towards, NVQ Level 2 in care and we pay for carers with the potential to do more to take the higher NVQ levels.
Through memberships of the Care Quality Commission and the Kent Integrated Care Alliance and through being a Social Services Approved Home Care Provider, our home care agency is also recognised as one with incredibly high quality standards.
