Established in 2002, Xtracare Ltd has been providing clients and patients with exemplary social and home care for more than 18 years.
A family company started by Sue and Jared Uwins, Xtracare Ltd specialises in providing both low dependency and high dependency care for patients across West Kent, including Maidstone, Larkfield, Kings Hill, East Peckham, Ditton, Marden, Detling, West Kingsdown, Yalding, West Malling, Headcorn, Boxley, Addington, Wouldham, Burham, Cuxton, Aylesford, Bearsted and Snodland.
Sue has a career’s worth of experience working in care, hospitals and nursing homes, both as part of the care staff and in the management of care agencies and homes.
Unhappy with the way that many social and home care organisations were run and with the high dependency care services they delivered, Sue set up Xtracare Ltd with business-experienced husband Jared to offer a different level of care.
Over the last few years, the company approach has led to rapid growth, largely through recommendations, great word of mouth from happy clients and exceptional efforts from our team of nurses, carers and home care providers.
We invest in our low and high dependency care team, arranging specialist courses in health and safety, manual handling, loss and bereavement and dealing with conditions such as Alzheimer’s and dementia. All our home care providers have, or are working towards, NVQ Level 2 in care and we pay for carers with the potential to do more to take the higher NVQ levels.
Our company is also recognised as one with exceptionally high standards, through memberships of the Care Quality Commission, the Kent Integrated Care Alliance and as a Social Services Approved Home Care Provider.
We believe that the real difference in our home help service comes from the people we employ; our high dependency care providers are friendly, engaging and personable and offer every individual client a friendly ear to talk to as well as a helping hand.
Based in Aylesford, we provide social and home care for clients across West Kent, including Maidstone, Bearsted, Beltring, Blue Bell Hill, Marden, Boxley, Burham, Hadlow, Halling, Leybourne, Meopham, Vigo Village, Yalding, Larkfield, Ditton, West Malling, East Malling, Snodland, West Kent, Wateringbury, Maidstone, Coxheath, Kings Hill, Birling, Walderslade and Aylesford.
