Established in 2002 Xtracare Ltd is a family company run by Sue and Jared Uwins based in Kent.

Sue has a careers worth of experience working in care, hospitals and nursing homes, both as part of the care staff and in the management of care agencies and homes.

Unhappy with the way that many care organisations were run and with the service they delivered, Sue set up Xtracare Ltd with business experienced husband Jared to offer a different level of caring.

Over the last five years the company approach has lead to rapid growth largely through recommendations and great word of mouth from happy clients and exceptional efforts from our team of nurses and carers.

We invest in our team arranging specialist courses in health and safety, manual handling, loss and bereavement or dealing with conditions such as alzheimers and dementia. All our staff have or are working towards NVQ level 2 in care, and we pay for carers with the potential to do more to take the higher NVQ levels.

Our company is also recognised as one with exceptionally high standards through memberships of the Care Quality Commission, the Kent Care Association and as a Social Services Approved Care Provider.

We believe that the real difference in our service comes from the type of people we employ, our carers are friendly, engaging and personable, and offer every individual client a friendly ear to talk to as well as a helping hand.
